FAQs - For the Tea Aficionado or Newbie

So how does it all work?

Penny Post will arrive 45 minutes to an hour before your event to deliver everything you need for your High Tea experience. If you'd like, we can also assist with setup to ensure everything is just right for your guests before leaving you to enjoy your celebration. We’ll return to collect the items, typically about an hour after your party, though timing can be adjusted to suit your preferences.

Who cleans up?

The answer is: we both do! We provide storage boxes for all our items, and all we ask is that you give everything a quick rinse before carefully placing them back in their labeled spots. Then, we’ll collect the china and handle the deep cleaning, preparing it for the next tea enthusiast to enjoy.

How many people can I invite?

We have an extensive collection of china and can accommodate parties ranging from a minimum of 10 guests to a maximum of 50. If you’re planning a larger event, feel free to reach out—we’d be happy to discuss your needs!

What sort of tea do you provide?

We offer a wide variety of teas for your event, ranging from simple tea bags to loose-leaf herbal blends. The choice is entirely yours, and we’ll discuss your preferences during the planning stage when you get in touch with us.

“But indeed, I would rather have nothing but tea.”

The Penny Post at High Tea

Here’s how it works: we provide postcards and writing tools for you and your guests. You get to unleash your creativity by writing a postcard to someone special—perhaps with a heartfelt message, a witty quote, or even a witty sketch. Once your postcards are ready, we collect them along with the rest of your rentals and send them out for you. The best part? Someone of your choosing will receive an unexpected heartfelt message, bringing a touch of joy through the rare and meaningful art of physical communication in today’s digital world.
